welcome

Acupuncture originated from Shamanistic traditions  over 3000 years ago in China. In the late 20th century, TCM, as it is known today, was re-ignited under the guiding light of dialectical materialism and became more focused on the treatment of somatic complaints. At this time, the earlier knowledge of the health of the spirit and mental/emotional states was omitted and transmuted into the responsibility of the state.

Five-Element Acupuncture’s uniqueness lies in its ability to treat the ‘whole’ person, recognizing that health is reflected in the body, mind and spirit of each individual. For the patient, a problem of the mind or spirit can easily emerge as a physical problem, or a physical problem can emerge as a problem of the mind or spirit. Health issues stemming from the mind and spirit can be just as devastating as purely physical symptoms.

Five-Element Acupuncture’s sole reliance on the laws of nature as its guiding principles guarantees its reliability and resulting success in the treatment room. We are, after all, a part of Nature. The challenge is set for a practitioner of this system of medicine to become an effective instrument of Nature, requiring an essential desire to help sick people, humility and a deep understanding of the Five Elements in Nature.

A dynamic training for practitioners and students of Oriental Medicine  who are passionate about learning a system of medicine that reaches to the very essence of the patient as a unique human being.
